Your support is vital. Please add your voice to
ours to put depression where it should be - at the
top of the mental health agenda. You can do this
by holding awareness-raising or fundraising events.
1. Fundraising can be fun too - from coffee mornings
to karaoke nights, jumble sales to talkathons -
and were here to help you every step of the
way. For further information on holding your own
event please email us.
2. Get involved with Depression Awareness Week™. Click here to learn about the current and past activities of Depression Awareness Week™.
3. Become a case study -
Would you be interested in becoming a media case
study for Depression Alliance? Existing media case
studies have collaborated with the BBC on radio
broadcasts, been interviewed on GMTV and ITN News,
and have had their stories featured in the printed
press, from The Guardian to The Sun.
The work of our media case studies - volunteers
who work on behalf of Depression Alliance by sharing
their experiences of depression with journalists
- is crucial in enabling Depression Alliance to
achieve its aim of showing the general public the
realities of living with depression.
It is important for us, in raising greater awareness
of depression, to know as much as possible about
our case studies, so that we can match people to
the needs of journalists. Therefore, prior to becoming
a case study, we would need you to fill in a questionnaire,
however, all information given is treated in the
strictest of confidence.
Whilst we do already have a number of media case
studies, we really need more. If you think you would
be interested in becoming a media case study, please
e-mail casestudies@depressionalliance.org. |
