Depression Alliance is looking to appoint two more Directors to its Board. Trustees, are responsible for the running of the charity under Charity and Company Law.
It is a challenging roll - DA is a small but vital charity that faces many hurdles every day. These encompass everything from tackling the discrimination against depression and mental illness through to raising necessary funds in a very competitive environment.
If you believe you have the drive and energy to make a difference to the tens of thousands of people who come to DA looking for support and information then we would love to hear from you.
Are you able:
- To attend monthly meetings in London on weekday evenings
- To be a team person willing to work with four or five other directors
- To represent DA at events and be an advocate for its work
And do you:
- Have specialist skills that will enable you to guide the others in specific fields while being guided in others
- Have access to e-mail so that you can keep in constant touch with the staff and other directors.
We would be particularly interested to hear from you if you have skills or experience in HR, finance and law.
