Depression Awareness Week

Thank you for supporting Depression Awareness Week 20-26 April. This year was our biggest and best yet!

Work in Progress kick-started our week, with the launch of our vital campaign to improve employment rates. With nearly 3 quarters of MPs in agreement that employment for people with depression must be a priority for the next government, together we'll make sure your manager gives you the support, understanding and flexibility to work, recover and stay well.

On Thursday 23rd, our hilarious and star-studded Comedy for Depression event, headlined by the brilliantly funny Reginald D Hunter, took place. Together you raised an incredible £14,000 on the night to support our life-saving work.

Kensington Palace hosted our prestigious Friends in Need Awards ceremony, to celebrate the remarkable individuals you'd told us had gone the extra mile to help you when you needed it most. Thank you to everyone who joined us for such an emotional and inspiring day.

At the MHPF Mental Health Voluntary Sector Awards 2015 we were very privileged to win an award for our Friends in Need community, in the Prevention category, supported and judged by Public Health England.

If you missed DAW it's not to late to support Depression Alliance, we've got 60 places to fill in The British 10K in July. Last year we raised a fabulous £12,000 with 49 runners, help us beat that figure by running for us this year, full details here.
