The Big Picnic 2012!
Do you fancy the opportunity to raise awareness of depression and also help lift the stigma and shame often associated with mental illness? Then get involved in Depression Alliance’s Big Picnic 2012!
The Big Picnic is all about getting out of the house, connecting with like‐minded people and having some fun in the sun. We’re bringing people together across the country to picnic for Depression Alliance and raise awareness of this devastating and much misunderstood illness.
Depression can be an extremely isolating experience but together, we can make it something people aren’t afraid to talk about. It makes sense too ‐ good diet and positive social interaction are key features in maintaining recovery and feeling good!
It could be a big public event for the whole neighbourhood, or a much smaller gathering in the back garden with your best friend or a partner. Whatever your picnic style, it really is up to you. We’re delighted you’re interesting in getting involved and large or small, it really will make a big difference.
