INFJ Careers: What This Personality Type Will Excel In

Every person is unique in how they handle certain situations that arise in their lives. However, after years of studying the human mind, it can be seen that there are certain types of personalities that are better suited for certain situations. This does mean that the personality of a person will greatly contribute to what they are going to be happy doing in life, such as their career, extracurricular activities and the social situations that they find themselves in. One type of personality is called  INFJ Personality.

What is INFJ Personality?

There are around sixteen different personality types that have been established by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and one of these is the INJF. This stands for Introversion, intuition, Feeling and Judging. This type of personality is often referred to as the Advocate Personality. It is very rare! In fact, it is estimated that only around 1% of the entire population is going to fall into this personality type. There are several famous people who have been classified as INFJ personalities. These people include Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Alanis Morrissette and many more.

Just what makes a person an INFJ Personality? These types of people have certain traits that showcase them as being an INFJ Personality. These traits can be categorized into strengths and weaknesses. It is important to note that those who are true INFJ personalities will have both of these strengths and weaknesses, not just one or the other.

Some of the strengths that are categorized into this personality type include:

  • They have a vivid imagination with a strong sense of compassion, which helps them to solve challenges in ways that others may not see.
  • They are insightful in that they can see through someone who is being dishonest or has ulterior motives.
  • INFJs can be insightful and convincing to those around them without having to be resulting to lies.
  • They are extremely decisive. INFJs know what they want, and with their other strengths, they know how to get it.
  • They are determined and passionate about what they do, hoping to make a difference in a record amount of time in the world.
  • Those with an INFJ personality are very altruistic. They want to benefit the entire good of the world, not just themselves. They truly always want the world to be a better place.

  • They are very sensitive, meaning they often get their feelings hurt when someone’s challenges their ideas or motives.
  • INFJs are extremely private! They may not even open to their closest friends, which means maintain truly close relationships are harder for these personalities.
  • INFJs must have a cause. They feel lost without having a cause that is a part of their passion.

These careers often make a person perform in a way that they are not entirely comfortable with, which then can make them feel even more stressed or drained. In turn, this can make them question just what they are doing with their lives and what they can change in order to be happy.

Knowing your specific personality type can allow you to better plan your life, or at least know what you need to do to gain a level of happiness that you may have only dreamed about before. The key is to be honest during the testing phase and find the true core of your personality. And remember, that just because these strengths and weaknesses point to certain careers, it is up to the individual to decide what they are happy with doing as a career. There are several people with   these personality types   who are going to be perfectly fine in a certain career path even if it does not embrace their natural tendencies. It all truly depends upon the person!
